About Us

The mission of Seniors Helping Seniors is to be a resource which provides up-to-date, useful information specifically for baby boomers and senior citizens.  By building relationships and partnerships amongst ourselves and drawing on the life experiences of our contributors, we create a strong platform of knowledge for those who wish to live life to its fullest.

We pull information on all walks of life and areas of interest from sources including external articles, research reports, publications, personal stories and more to create a portal where seniors can not only seek information and assistance, but provide it as well.  When you stop to consider the great pool of knowledge each senior citizen brings to the table through their educational background, career knowledge and practical experience, you can begin to appreciate the depth of content on this site.

With these goals in mind, we are striving to develop a site where information is available to our loyal community.  We endeavor to provide timely and insightful content on the topics that seniors are most interested in such as relationships, money saving tips and financial planning, work and retirement, protection against scams, interaction with family and friends, health and wellness, as well as travel, hobbies and pastimes.

Our goal is to provide tools for successful living, a community forum where people can speak their minds and share their opinions, offer the best sources for products and services and develop a unique presence on the internet.  While there are many sites that talk at seniors, their families, friends and caregivers, Seniors Helping Seniors is a vibrant community of like-minded individuals who talk to each other and are willing to share their expertise, knowledge and life experiences with one another.

The entire face of aging is changing.  People are healthy and active well into their golden years.  No longer content to sit on the sidelines, seniors pursue their interests well into their 70s and 80s.  Traveling abroad, dining out, and physical activities are high priorities for many senior citizens.  In fact, media advertising is changing as well, as those over 55 have more discretionary spending power than their younger counterparts.  “Silver Surfers” are the fastest growing age group adopting computer technology and accessing the internet in the world today.

Additionally, seniors are responsible for more than 50 percent of all consumer spending, are the highest wage earners, are more likely to be college educated and own the most homes.  We are the new majority and, supplied with the right information, sound advice and practical tips, we will live well as we age well, and live each day to the fullest.

Our staff, experts and support team are proud to be a part of making this a reality, and are interested in feedback, questions, content proposals and editorial ideas to help make this site even more useful to seniors.  This site is not only all about you, but it is also meant to be an interactive experience – we look forward to your contributions.  We take great care with our content, remaining open to new suggestions and ideas that will further enhance this site, educate our loyal community, encourage visitors to become active participants and provide entertainment.
